The race for this year’s AFL Coaches Association’s Champion Player of the Year Award is down to two, after the top three players failed to poll a vote in Round 21.
Nathan Fyfe sits on top with 100 votes – all collected in the first 14 rounds – with his only challenger Sydney’s Dan Hannebery, who sits in second place on 85 votes with just two weeks remaining in the home and away season.
There were plenty of outstanding individual performances on show throughout Round 21 – Port Adelaide’s Robbie Gray, Gold Coast’s Aaron Hall, Adelaide’s Taylor Walker, Carlton’s Patrick Cripps and West Coast’s Josh Kennedy each scored a perfect 10 from the coaches.
It was a good week for Josh Kennedys; the Sydney version joined North Melbourne’s Todd Goldstein in equal-third place on the podium after scoring nine votes in the Swans’ win over GWS.
Nic Naitanui polled seven votes in his return game for West Coast, while enigmatic Bulldogs forward Jake Stringer earned seven votes of his own, courtesy of a five-goal performance against the Eagles.
See all the votes from all the games below and head to the AFL Coaches’ Association website for all their latest.
