Pearce is joined by Brisbane’s Kate Lutkins who amassed a remarkable 26 disposals in a losing side, and Adelaide’s ever consistent Chelsea Randall who proved dominant in the club’s comfortable win over Carlton.
Some errant kicking in front of goal threatened to derail Melbourne’s night at Casey Fields, but they were aided by Pearce’s clean foot skills, kicking the first two goals in their six-point triumph.
Despite playing in a losing side, Kate Lutkins was everywhere, kicking the footy 21 times to go along with five handballs, four marks and four tackles.
The Crows remain in the hunt following their blowout win over the Blues. Leading the way once again was Chelsea Randall, who collected 15 disposals out of defence and laid seven tackles.
The AFL Players’ Association has partnered with Gloria Jean’s to stage the prestigious AFLW Players’ MVP Award at the end of the season, and the AFLW MVP of the Week, a new concept that provides the fans with the opportunity to vote for the best performer of the round.
Fans will get the choice to select the MVP of the Week, after the three names have been put forward by the AFLPA.
All fans who vote will automatically receive a 2-for-1 coffee voucher to be used at any Gloria Jean’s store, and will go into the running to win the major weekly prize, a Moccamaster Coffee Machine, valued at $450.
