AFL Coaches’ Votes – Round 8

Fremantle star Nat Fyfe remains atop the AFL Coaches’ Association Champion Player of the Year leaderboard, with another perfect 10 from the coaches in the Dockers’ thumping of the Kangaroos on Saturday night.

Sydney’s Dan Hannebery polled another 10 votes in the Grand Final replay to remain in outright second position, while teammate Luke Parker climbed onto the leader-board with six votes of his own.

The two big boys at either end for Essendon – Joe Daniher and Cale Hooker – were both awarded nine votes, as the Bombers cruised to victory over Brisbane.

Melbourne captain Nathan Jones and first-year midfielder Aaron vandenBerg picked up eight votes apiece. Jesse Hogan gathered four for his powerful three-goal display.

Kane Cornes, in his 300th and final match, picked up one vote in Port Adelaide’s loss against Richmond, while Tigers star Jack Riewoldt scored the perfect 10.

Elsewhere, Collingwood skipper Scott Pendlebury polled a perfect 10 in his 200th match, joining Dylan Shiel, Luke Shuey and Jordan Murdoch as the others to score 10 in earlier games.
