Gold Coast midfielder Alison Drennan has claimed her first AFLW MVP of the Week nomination, presented by Snaffle, dominating through the midfield as the Suns posted a 33-point win over West Coast.
The hard-running Drennan is joined by Brisbane’s Emily Bates for a second-straight week, while St Kilda’s Bianca Jakobsson was also nominated from round two of action.
Drennan gathered 24 disposals and seven clearances, laying nine tackls and kicking a goal in the process.
Bates – the AFLW MVP of Season 6 – was again brilliant for the Lions, collecting 20 disposals and booting two game-shaping goals.
Meanwhile the Saints’ Jakobsson controlled the game from half-back with 21 disposals and eight intercepts as a rampant St Kilda thumped Hawthorn by 53 points.
