In my element: Jeremy Cameron

This video is brought to you by 2XP. The official sunscreen partner of the AFL Players’ Association.

Growing up in Dartmoor, a rural township on the Glenelg River in south western Victoria, GWS Giants forward Jeremy Cameron developed a passion for fishing and the outdoors from a young age.

Cameron started fishing because of his Dad, Leon, and can still recall the day he caught his first fish.

“It was an Australian Salmon and I absolutely loved it,” he told AFLPlayers.com.au.

After joining the Giants ahead of their inaugural 2012 season, Cameron took his passion for fishing to the Sydney Harbour.

Cameron’s GWS teammates, including Toby Greene and Callan Ward, often join the 2019 Coleman medalist at sea.

“Everyone has put their hand up to come out and they stir me up because they haven’t been invited,” he said.

“It’s a good little goal to have to try to get everyone out at least once.”

In the video above, Cameron talks about his passion for the outdoors, including hunting and camping and how that helps release him from the pressures associated with being an elite level footballer, as part of an exciting video series, brought to you by 2XP.

As part of the AFL Players’ Association’s partnership with 2XP, every AFL and AFLW player will be supplied with sunscreen for all training and match days.
