In my element: Jeremy Howe

This video is brought to you by 2XP. The official sunscreen partner of the AFL Players’ Association.

When Jeremy Howe arrived at Melbourne following the 2010 National Draft, the Tasmanian was relatively clean-skinned.

That quickly changed whilst in the AFL system, with the now-Collingwood player known for his intricate tattoos and high-flying marks.

Like his Magpies teammates, the 29-year-old is well-inked with his arms and torso covered in meaningful artwork.

“The most significant tattoo is the wedding photo of my parents,” Howe told AFLPlayers.com.au.

The image on his right pectoral is a touching ode to his parents, following the passing of his mother in 2016.

“As unfortunate as it is, we still have really positive memories and it’s something we talk about on a daily basis,” he said.

“To have it tattooed is something I’ll hold close to my heart for sure.”

In the video above, Howe talks about his move from Melbourne to Collingwood, planning for his impending nuptials with fiancée Kahlia and the meaning behind his tattoos, as part of an exciting video series, brought to you by 2XP.

As part of the AFL Players’ Association’s partnership with 2XP, every AFL and AFLW player will be supplied with sunscreen for all training and match days.
