Young magpie Eliza James has claimed this round’s AFLW MVP of the Week award, proudly presented by Snaffle.
Eliza James made history in Collingwood’s clash against the Bulldogs on Sunday, becoming the first AFLW player to boot four goals in a final.
The breakout performance saw the youngster almost double her season’s goal tally, bringing her total to nine for Season 7. James also collected 13 disposals and two tackles across the match.
It was a tough fight against the Bulldogs in Sunday’s elimination final, with James’ scoreboard impact proving instrumental in keeping the Magpies’ finals hopes alive.
The other nominees for Finals Week One were Cathy Svarc (Brisbane) and Olivia Purcell (Melbourne).
