The Players’ Association is aware of an article published online this evening by CAS, in which players’ names were listed.

The article has subsequently been removed from the CAS website. We are extremely disappointed by this apparent breach of confidentiality protocols and will be seeking clarification by CAS as to how this occurred.

In the interim, we would appreciate the media’s respect in not further reporting on the identity of the players involved.

The naming of the players in these circumstances, which would be a further breach of confidentiality, would only serve to increase the stress and anxiety of players who are already dealing with the outcomes of WADA’s announcement today.
