Brisbane midfielder Orla O’Dwyer has claimed the round one AFLW MVP of the Week award, presented by Snaffle.
O’Dwyer, who led the way in the Lions’ xx-point thumping of Fremantle, pipped Essendon’s Madison Prespakis by six per cent of the vote to win the award.
North Melbourne’s Jasmine Garner was the other player nominated.
O’Dwyer gathered 20 disposals to go with nine intercept possessions, as well as booting two goals.
The Irish star was a first-time All Australian in Season 6, based on her ability to run up and down the wing and impact on the scoreboard.
