A masterful display from Melbourne’s Daisy Pearce headlines the Round 8 AFLW MVP of the Week nominations, proudly supported by Snaffle.

St Kilda’s Tilly Lucas-Rodd and Carlton’s Mimi Hill earned themselves the other nominations for the weekly award, for their stunning performances over the weekend.

Melbourne captain Pearce led her side to a massive 88-point victory over a diminished Fremantle outfit on Saturday.

The 16.11 (107) to 3.1 (19) win means that the Demons have become the first AFLW side to break the 100-point barrier, with Pearce becoming just the fourth player ever to kick five goals in a game. 

In a dominant display, the 33-year-old kicked three goals in the third term alone and finished with 17 disposals.

A classy display from defender turned midfielder Lucas-Rodd enabled St Kilda to beat Geelong 2.6 (18) to 0.9 (9) to win back-to-back AFLW matches for the first time in club history.

The Saints star dominated in her sides scrappy nine-point win against the Cats on Saturday afternoon, notching 22 disposals, 16 contested possessions, 12 clearances, 10 tackles and seven inside 50s.

Carlton’s Hill was prolific in her side’s 7.4 (46) to 2.4 (16) win over Gold Coast on Sunday afternoon.

The 19-year-old worked hard in the middle, garnering 25 possessions in the Blues 30-point victory.
